Meiosis is the second form of cell division we have looked at and it happens to make sperm and eggs, which have half the normal chromosome number of the organism.

Today we cloned cauliflower by tissue culture. We will leave these somewhere warm and light for a few weeks and observe what happens to them.

Why did we place the cauliflower in bleach and use sterilised forceps?

We also had a look at the technique that cattle farmers use called embryo transplantation. This is a method of cloning animals.
