 Allelesscience museum site

Its all to do with alleles. These are different versions of genes. We get one allele from each parent for each characteristic we have. Bradley has two recessive alleles for hair colour. In other people, these recessive alleles are often hidden by dominant alleles.

Today we looked at DNA structure and the genetic code.

Who discovered the structure of DNA and when?

How is the structure of DNA special, allowing it to replicate itself?

Make sure you have completed the worksheet (up to at least question 4)
