we heated a mixture of boric acid, lead oxide and zinc oxide. We didn’t use silicon oxide as it melts at too high a temperature.
This is where iron is made from iron oxide, using carbon monoxide as a reducing agent.
You need to remember the equations for the formation of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, iron, and calcium silicate (slag)
