In our double lesson today we looked at both convection and radiation. We used a convection tube to show that hot fluids rise and cold fluids fall. This is because the hot particles spread out and the substance becomes less dense. You need to remember the places where convection happens.
We used a Leslie’s cube to examine heat loss by radiation. It was explained that radiation involves no particles, and is heat trasfer by waves.
