Types of energy

Filed Under (Year 9) by griggans on 05-09-2008

There are seven types of energy we must know about:
light, heat (thermal), sound, electrical, kinetic (movement) and potential (stored). Nuclear energy is found in atoms and in the sun and nuclear power stations and atomic bombs.

Potential or stored energy can be used later and is found in food and fuel (chemical), in a bow and arrow and a jack in the box (elastic or strain energy) and in a rollercoaster, diver and skier (gravitational)

You must learn all these words in bold.
