We saw that burning carbon in oxygen produces a weak acid gas. This is carbon dioxide. Burning sulphur produces sulphur dioxide, a strong acid (which turns universal indicator red). Both these elements are found in fuels.

We saw that when objects vibrate they make sounds – and that when smaller/shorter objects vibrate they make higher pitched sounds than larger/longer objects. We also saw that the louder the sound is, the larger are the vibrations. We also learned that the louder the sound, the louder is the amplitude of the sound wave.
